Feature #1

Save context in comments

It will be useful to show the post when you open the comments. The user will remain in the context. In order not to take up much space, you can leave only the text of the post, without content.

I can support my hypothesis with one of Jakob Nielsen’s heuristics.

Feature #2

Quick access to write a comment

Two elements (icon and link) do the same thing — they open the comment. I suggest opening the comments page and keyboard immediately after tapping the comment icon.

BandLab users often use emojis, so popular reactions can sit directly above the keyboard.

Feature #3

Quick adding a post

While reading the feed, starting a new post requires scrolling back to the top. In Trending there is no entry point at all.

A persistent create-post action in the header keeps publishing one tap away.

Feature #4

Improvement of paid content

Make the content type visible and reduce the emphasis on likes and comments, which may be lower than on public posts.

A clear subscription price and benefit-led copy explain that listeners support the artist and unlock additional content.

Feature #5

Polls

Interactive posts such as polls, quizzes and questions provide a break from the feed’s usual content and create more reasons to participate.

More media and interaction with listeners

It is interesting for the audience not only to listen and read the performer, but also to look at him. This can be solved with dynamic images in the profile header.

Interaction with listeners can be launched through streams, on which the artist writes music in the studio. Live broadcasts for a large audience will most likely take place on Instagram, but streaming music creation and collaboration are more interesting for musicians, and BandLab can become such a platform.

Polls also fit here.
